Born in Thetford Mines, Marc Garneau has made Montreal his home for several years, but his work remains deeply inspired by the memory of his native region. Garneau has had nearly sixty solo exhibitions across Canada and abroad. His work is included in the collections of the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Musée du Bas-Saint-Laruent, the Musée de Joliette, and the Canada Council Art Bank. His work is also represented in the private collections of the National Bank, the Toronto-Dominion Bank, Loto‑Québec, Hydro Québec, the Power Corporation, Cirque du Soleil, and La Peau de l’Ours.
