In 1970, Ed Kostiner, then-director of Galerie III in Montreal, commissioned Fernand Leduc to produce a series of paintings to be editioned as silk-screened prints. From these, a few were selected including the acrylic on paper work titled Projet 1. An edition of 100 was produced and titled SG3 (38 × 26 ½ in). It is reproduced on page 2 of the catalogue Hard-Edge Collection, published by the Department of External Affairs and International Trade Canada in 1975.
